Email onboarding sequence for an online course platform

Around 70% of people who sign up for our music production courses never finish the first module, and our current onboarding "sequence" is a single welcome email from 2025. We are a two-person team and email keeps falling to the bottom of the list. Write us a 7-email onboarding sequence: welcome, first-lesson nudge, a social-proof story from one of our successful students (we will connect you with two for short interviews), a mid-week check-in, an objection-handling email about time commitment, a community invite, and a first-week milestone celebration. Also two re-engagement emails for students who go quiet for 14 days. Subject line variants for A/B testing on each. Tone matters a lot here - our students are hobbyists aged roughly 18-35 and anything corporate will flop.
