Very good, minor niggles
In at eleven at night, out at six, and everything worked. That is all I need.
Only one socket by the bed, and the switch for it is behind the headboard.

Nice staff, tired building
Plenty of places to eat within a short walk, most of them reasonably priced.
There is construction across the street that starts at half past six, so bring earplugs.

Poorly maintained and unhelpful
The location is genuinely good, and that is the only reason this is not lower.
There was mould in the corner of the bathroom ceiling and the extractor did not work. The bed linen was stained. We asked for it to be changed and waited until nearly eleven that night. Building work started at quarter past seven every morning and nobody mentioned it when we booked. The room we were given was not the one we booked and it took four conversations to be moved.

Strong on location and staff
Late nights out and nobody once tutted at us coming in at three. Blackout curtains that meet in the middle, a mattress with some life in it, and silence after eleven.
Nothing worth mentioning, and that is rare.

Ask for a room at the back
Two nights in and I was sleeping through until eight, which never happens for me. Shuttle runs often enough that I never checked the timetable twice. Small gym but everything works, and it is open at six when I need it.
The curtains do not quite meet in the middle, so you are up with the light.

A find
Half board with a children's sitting at six meant we ate dinner in peace afterwards. A washing machine halfway through a month on the road is worth more than a minibar. You step out of the door and you are already somewhere worth being.
Getting a taxi to find the entrance took some explaining.
