Handy, if a little dated
Good set-up for families - a shallow pool, high chairs and staff who do not mind noise. Parking is available and reasonably priced for the area. Karaköy is a sensible base, a few streets back from the crowds and still close to everything.
Parking nearby is expensive, though that is Istanbul rather than the hotel.

Right for a short stay
The restaurant is convenient and priced about where you would expect. They keep a jar of sweets by the lift that nobody admits to eating from. Good for a few nights alone - I was left to get on with it.
No kettle in the room, which for a British guest is practically a design flaw.

I ran two client calls from the desk and the room was quiet enough that nobody asked where I was.

Rare to get it all right
Travelling on my own, I never felt uneasy walking back into Karaköy late at night.

Karaköy done properly
Four of us across two rooms on the same corridor, which they arranged without being asked.
There is one toaster for the whole room, so there is a queue at half past nine.

Fine for a couple of nights
Three rooms on the same floor, which saved a lot of shouting up stairwells. A cat lives in the courtyard and considers the chairs to be hers.
You have to log in again every day, which is a small irritation that adds up over four nights.
