What if the Steam trade fails?

If we can't deliver the item within 24 hours of payment, your purchase is automatically refunded to the original payment method. Most failed trades are due to expired Steam Mobile Authenticator codes: simply re-confirm and try again.

Do I need Steam Mobile Authenticator?

Yes. Steam requires Mobile Authenticator for instant trades. Without it, all Steam trades are held for 7 days regardless of marketplace. Setting it up takes 2 minutes through the Steam mobile app.

Can I get a refund?

Yes: refund policy applies if: (1) we fail to deliver within 24h, (2) the item delivered doesn't match the listing, or (3) you change your mind within 60 minutes of purchase, before we send the trade offer. Full details in our Refund Policy.

Which currencies can I see prices in?

USD, EUR and GBP: tap the currency pill in the header to cycle through them. USD is our base currency - every price is stored in USD and converted for display at the current daily rate, so the EUR and GBP figures are indicative and can move slightly between visits.

How do I sell a skin and when do I get the money?

Open Sell skins, pick an item from your Steam inventory and accept the instant quote (85% of market value). Send the item to the Facet receiver within 60 minutes; once our verification worker sees it in the receiver's inventory, the payout is credited to your balance on hold. After Steam's 7-day reversal window it becomes available and you can request a payout from your Wallet.

What is the difference between selling instantly and listing on the Market?

Instant sell: Facet buys the skin from you at 85% of its catalog value - you send it to our receiver and the money is yours within minutes (on hold for 7 days). Market listing: you name your own price and sell to another user; when it sells you keep 92% (a 8% fee), but you have to wait for a buyer and send the trade offer yourself within 60 minutes of the sale. The buyer's money is held by Facet and released to you once Steam shows the item in the buyer's inventory.

When is a Market sale paid out, and why is some of it on hold?

As soon as our verification worker sees the item in the buyer's Steam inventory, your share (price minus the 8% fee) is credited to your balance. Sales of $50.00 or more, and your first 3 sales, stay on hold for 7 days - Steam's Trade Protection window, during which Valve can reverse a trade. Smaller sales from established sellers are available immediately. If the buyer never receives the item, they are refunded and you are not paid.

How and where are payouts made?

From your Wallet, to a Visa or Mastercard in your own name. Minimum $10.00, maximum $10,000.00 per request; we review and send payouts within 3 business days. Payouts above $1,000.00 per 30 days require a one-time identity verification.
